R50/53 fun vs capacity
Hello, everyone. This is my first message on the site. I have read all the messages on the previous 59 pages and am impressed by the politeness and knowledge of the contributors - I am now persuaded the Mini is safe, reliable , FUNFUN, will seat four, goes through snow well, and all those good things, and am on the verge of getting one. But there are two things I haven't seen really talked about yet. It used to be that Rolls Royces had small trunks because the servants would send luggage on ahead by train. Well, I don't have servants and I can't afford to buy one car for fun and one for practical use - one car has to do it both. So, is there enough room in a Mini for two people with "loadsa" luggage? Also, can a bike rack be attached to the rear?
Many thanks for any comments.

Hi vitamini! I don't know anything about a bike rack, but I'm sure there will be one designed for the MINI. As far as luggage space for two adults I think you will do just fine. When the back seats are folded down you will be amazed at the amount of space available to pack stuff. I was stunned when I went to my dealer for the first time and saw how much space the MINI has once the rear seats were folded down. I don't think you'd have to worry about 2 people with luggage in a MINI. Of course, it is still a MINI, so it will never be an ideal car to pack lots of stuff in.

Welcome to MCO, vitamini! MINI can install a roof rack for bikes/additional luggage! Many people have posted threads about it on Roadfly.org's MINI Cooper Message Board...check it out! I'm going from driving an Isuzu Trooper to the MINI and think it has plenty of space with the back seats down.
Cheers!
