How much difference does the sport package make?

I'm wondering specifically about DSC and the sport suspension. I've found a great '06 MCS, has premium but not sport (looks like the owner added 17" wheels). Otherwise mint and low miles, and I'd so like to buy. Please help!

It would depend on how you intend to use your car. For normal everyday driving/commuting, none of the options are absolutely manditory. However, if you plan on some spirited driving or lots of highways, DSC would be a great safety feature to have. If you plan on auto-crossing or tracking your car, most people would turn it off. Sport suspension would be useful here unless you plan on doing mods. Then just do the mods.

M car has sport suspension +, as well as ASC+T which is standard equipment in Canada for an MCS. and I love it.

I'd like to at least find some nice twisties every once in a while and push the car a little. So the suspension is something I can so myself as aftermarket, and the DSC is a little insurance in the corners that I'll have to live without?

Thanks for the response.

Sport package does not add suspension upgrade -- U.S. MCS's come with sport suspension.

(from automotive.com)
For the 2006 MC:
The Sport Package ($1,400) offers DSC dynamic stability control, a rear spoiler, 16-inch five-star alloy wheels with 195/55R16 run-flat performance tires, sport seats, and front fog lamps.

For the 2006 MCS:
The Sport Package ($1,400) differs by offering bonnet stripes, 17-inch alloy wheels with 205/45R17 run-flat performance tires (or all-season tires), headlamp power washers, front fog lamps, and xenon headlights.

Sounds like living without the Sport Package should be very easy.

I wonder if DSC was included on all MCS for '06 as well? If so, makes this much easier.... yay!

No.
You will give up things like DSC, fog lights and xenons (unless on there a la carte), and bonnet stripes (which you're better off getting aftermarket -- more unique options).
