R50/53 Big Daddy's new ride
Big Daddy's new ride
Hey everybody, say "Hi" to Blue. I would have posted this in the "Crash" thread but it got locked.

He is an '05 Hyper Blue Metallic MCS and has 44,500 km, covered under Mini/BMW warranty until October 2009 or 80,000km. Blue was originally owned in Philly and was imported to Canada in 2006, so he now has dual citizenship, kind of like me.
Features
Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), this includes traction control + ABS
Limited slip differential (LSD)
Alarm system
6-speed manual
Navigation system (GPS)
Backup alarm indicator
Leather seats, two-tone blue and black
Sports package
Automatic climate control
Fog lights (front and rear)
Xenon headlights
John Cooper Works body trim
Anti-theft
Universal Remote Control
Arm rest console
Rain sensing wipers
Harman-Kardon sound system
iPod MP3 interface
Panoramic sunroof
Backup alarm
Heated seats
Black bonnet stripes
Power windows/locks/mirrors
I have a garage full of aftermarket parts just waiting to be installed.

Congrats on your new ride (very sweet), and I'm glad the "incident" did not steer you away from MINI.
My wife and I read the whole "crash" thread when it was first started; without wishing to open a can of worms again, we would like to give you props for not letting that incident ruin your whole MOTD weekend, and instead making the best of it.

Very nice and the R90s are much nicer stock wheels than the S-Lites your old car had. So what's the plan? Another Corvette themed car or something different?

Thanks everyone. There was no way that I was not going to get another MINI, especially the way the car stood up to the beating it took. (I still don't think it should have been "totalled".) I drove 4 or 5 last weekend and this one just felt right. I'm going to drive it pretty much stock for a while until I get to "know" it and then decide whether I'm going to reprise the "swoops" or not. Thanks again for all of your kind words.
