this is the kind of crap that makes minis look bad to the outside public. the song is terrible and the car looks stupid. I do feel good everytime i drive my mini but its probably due to the fact that im flying around turns and pissing people off, not dancing on it. Dont get me wrong I dont mind seeing minis in movies/tv/video but not when they are made to look retarded. Madonna is an old cougar and i cant even begin to state how much this garbage makes me sick.

 

Words... cannot... describe... the travesty... that has occurred by allowing anyone to see that abomination...

 

If our country is as bad as she's making it out to be in that video, we would have deported her over that incredibly BAD video and song.

One of us interpreted that song incorrectly. You heard Bush-bashing. I heard America-bashing.

Huge Madonna fan here. Not too crazy about this original version of the song but there is a cool remix of the song by Paul Oakenfold (Oakenfold Downtempo Remix) that sounds awesome on the Harman/Kardon. Can't wait to see her this fall!

I think a good portion of the masses would need to hear the Lee Greenwood remix of the Madonna song.....Oakenfold would make them feel perilously vulnerable and slightly euro....like speaking French when you're in Paris....

 

Funny, I didn't see america bashing or bush bashing...I saw war bashing. It was images of war, real and portrayed, while certain people watched and laughed while ignoring what was happening...nothing wrong with putting a message like 'pay attention to what is happening' in a video. Although it could have been done without butchering a nice car.

I think some of the comments here are exactly why she made the video and sang the song.. gets you to think.. makes you want to react.. and for far too long.. many have been too inactive..I didn't see it as anti american.. anti george doubleya.. it is a way to make people see things they wouldnt normally see, it got attention.. and this coming from an army wife, with her solidier sitting next to her. Neither of us were offended by this video, She brings a brutal truth to the table. If you don't agree with me.. good thing we have soliders out there fighting for our rights to be able to have our own opinion, but to me this forum isnt about politics.. its about the car.. and dayum that is one bizarre looking mini! Wonder what they did with it, after they filmed the video.. those tires are outrageous!

Don't get me wrong, I agree with the message the video is trying to relay, I just think Madonna does it poorly. What she is saying is that as a country we are too violent and we cheer when our soldiers die and we wreck havoc on other nations, its a bit over the top I'd say. By a bit I mean A LOT over the top. I definitely don't support our current president, I definitely don't support the war, I feel as a nation we have allowed those in government to abuse their power, and now we aren't doing enough to bring their wrongs to trial.

The video is over the top, but the message isn't that far off.

I posted earlier about the car's paint getting scratched.....a rather shallow comment, but not being into Madonna, I had not watched the video and just assumed it would be Madonna trying to be 22 years old and tryingto be a sex symbal or something. I just watched the youtube and boy what a disturbing video.....I gotta say that it was good in that it certainly causes you to be disturbed by all those images as that was her intent....not saying that I agree with her politics as this is not the forum for political discussions

Funny, we're the ones that make this forum what it is and when a bunch of people get together and start an actual conversation (isn't that what forums are for?) it gets shut down because it doesn't jive with their own beliefs.

 

yeah. i doooon't really see Madonna making too many people think. i wouldn't exactly rank her up there with the John Lydon's and Joe Strummer's of the world. i wonder if all the bubble gum pop fans of the world are going to riot?

seems like more milking of the cash cow IMO. unless of course she is putting the money somewhere else other than her fat pocket.
