Digital speedometer
On the 2002 models is there a way to display your current speed digitally like on later models?

there is, but it was part of a package, I think it involves getting a different factory tach and a computer "turn on/upgrade" at the dealer.....
wait isnt that a factory option? the button on the blinker... push that it should switch from temp to speed

Yeah it is, but mine didnt have that option either. Im telling the guy that the logical choice is to get some kind of scan gauge like scan gauge II or Aeroforce Tech for cheaper and with more uses.

Another option is if you've got a GPS nav like a Garmin Nuvi, it has a dashboard panel that gives you all kinds of information including speed.

I thought that only became available later on - 2004 maybe? And those of us with Nav didn't get that option.

Or you could use this GPS HUD Speed display....
The HG-100 is a bluetooth GPS receiver that also has a bright LCD display designed to display your speed as reflected off your windshield like a HUD (Heads Up Display) that you'd find in a Fighter Jet.

Looks like just another expensive toy, but it might be something fun to have...

Wait, for my clarification, if you have a 2004-2005-2006 MCS, their is a digital speedometer in the tachometer gauge cluster?

Only if you don't have Nav or Chrono, and you may need the OBC.

The digital speed reading in the tachometer, became standard from the factory for model year 2004, regardless of whether the optional OBC (On board computer) option was ordered or not.
