i'm in a quandry and just can't decide.
Any thoughts on what sort of color combo would look good on a VR/B?
Think i would be committing any great offense as i would get the custom colored Union Jack mostly for aesthetic reasons - and in homage of its British heritage.
Does anybody have a VR with a roof design?

and just as an aside, how did the MINIs come to have flags and checkers and all that on them in the first place?

I think you would be safe using the union J as long as your roof is black. No that a white roof would really look bad, just not right in my opinion. I'm doing the union J on my sunroof only. With a large black border I think it would work very well. Remember that since this is an opinionated question your going to get all kinds of answers. Get what makes you happy. Your the one that owns the car.

Have a custom Black and Red one made by CooperFlags!

 

I think that a silver/black/DS UJ would look good on velvet red, but going custom is a great idea too! I did that for my PS/B Cooper mainly because my interior is red/black and I wanted to carry that theme to the exterior as well. Cooperflags made my UJ to order... silver, black and chili red! I know that Matt would be happy to work with you and get the velvet red into the mix however you want.

Before getting my flag I heard a little dissention along the lines of "how could you desecrate a symbol such as a flag like that..." Now though I think of it less as a flag and more of a design based on the UJ. I haven't heard any negative comments from anyone who has seen my car in person.
