OK I've done it but I know I've gone overboard....

The best car I owned that i loved to drive was the Honda CRX..Remember those...

Well i'm a gettin the Mini S 04 PW/B CORDOBA BEIGE ANTHRACITE 16' V 90's WITH EVERY AVAIL OPTION BUT NO SUNROOF... Getting the "find a place thing in the middle" and wait for it..Yup i'm going for the John Cooper Works package.......I know it's too much BUT as I'm not a "hands on work of guy" would hate to screw up the warrenty especially as the total price will be about $35,500.....OUCH !!!!!

Well as they say you only live once.....BUT the wife said when I die she'll use it as my coffin so I'm already saving monies going out in the future..Hmmm and some of you thought I didn't want the sunroof because of the south heat factor....

Anyway love to hear from you guys/gals all the mistakes I've made in loading her up to the brim with all avail goodies..Also how does the Nav system look in the car w/out the speedo...
AND do ya all think Cordoba (inc Steering wheel, brake etc etc ) will get the gals lining up in the front seat ?.....

Yes Honey I'm coming.....Got to sign off..BYE and put me in the OCT CLUB........

unless the cordoba matches the seats, i think it would look terrible!

just my opinion. i saw pics of it the other day on MINI USA's site and thought it was weird.

congrats on ur mini.
every one of them is unique

and as long as you are happy wtih it thats all that matters

that said, my personal opinion is that 35K is a bit too much for a mini

*puts flame suit on, even for expressing personal opinion*

wow! that's the premium, loaded-to-the-max, top-of-the-line mcs! cordoba leather is very plush. not sure how it'll look, but at least you got pw and white pretty much matches anything, right?

i've got a mcs brg/w with bonnet stripes, moon roof, and sports pack coming in around oct too. i am highly considering the jcw also. primarily because it'll be fairly unique with smooth power, not necessarily the most power. and of course, because it's all under warranty.

however, i've read a few days ago about some guy in hawaii stating that his mpg dropped drastically since installing the jcw kit. it went from mid 20's to sub-20 mpg. this is making me reconsider since pretty good fuel economy with performance driving is one of the reasons why i got my present mini (mc cvt) in the first place. sub-20 mpg is comparable to my nissan 4 cyl. p/u. and i drive 50+ miles daily for work.

i'm presently trying to find out if getting the jcw normally results in a drastic drop in fuel economy. i can understand a slight drop, like 2-4 mpg, but 7-9 is quite a difference to me.

anyways, thought i'd just let you know about one person's experience with the jcw. other than the drop in mpg, it performs great from what i've read/heard.

Here's an interior with the speedo moved over by the tach so the Nav can use the big screen!!

Think seriously about getting the Panorama sunroof. Unless you're in the desert without covered parking or concerned about wind noise at high-speed, get it.

Together with the stereo controls on the steering wheel, it's my favorite option.

You Cooper sounds like a real winner. Enjoy!

Since you're asking for opinions... The center speedo is my favorite part of the MINI's interior, especially when it lights up at night! I think moving it over to the steering column is a big step down in terms of the car's appearance. Are you getting the nav system for the sake of having every available option, or will you use it enough to justify changing the appearance of the dash so drastically?
