R50/53 I think i have an obsession! Who's with me...
No, you don't have an obsession!
You need :
MINI mouse pad,
MINI Magnets,
MINI cup,
MINI pens to write with all over your desk,
and
the MINI bucket hat sitting beside your computer so you are ready to go outside at a moments notice ....
Don't forget the MINI speedo that is a clock that's the screen saver from MINIUSA!
Yes, Here, we're all mad --
mad about MINI!

Sorry to disappoint but I've got the 1/6th scale RC Coopers (2 of them); the 1/24 scale RC Coopers (2 of those two); the 1/12 scale RC Cooper (only 1); 1/43rd scale MINI's (3 of 'em); 1/64th scale (2 again); 1/18th scale MINIs (3 of them); 1/24th scale Revell Kits (painted in the colour of my MC) and the paper cut outs from the ad campaign. Not to mention the promotional signage from Target, the MINI poster set; original Italian Job Posters featuring the MINIs; MINI pens, keychains, mugs, etc. We are Mad, quite Mad!
But Love Motoring.

my 11 year daughter and I just finished a scale model kit of the Cooper...we painted it gold with black bonnet stripes with the cordova interior. Before we glued the black roof on we decided to add the gold checkerboard to it! She was estatic...we masked it off with tape and she cut the grid out...Not to mention the blacked out tail lights! Her first model now sits proudly next to her dolls and stuff...
gosh, I'm getting all choked up just thinking about it!

I'm obsessed also:
On my desk I have:
6 of the paper models.
1/26 scale diecast painted like my Mini
1/16 scale repainted
I bought the silver radio controled model at Sams and painted it Green!
I just got the Tyco remote control model.
I keep a scrap book of all my paperwork, MINI's direct mail pieces and adds.
I just bought $100 in detailing products.
I'm selling all of my vintage GI Joes and Hotwheels on E-bay to fund some mods.
BTW. I took a business associate for a drive last night and he gets out of the car and says, "I guess I won't need to go to Six Flags this weekend."

>>Its not an obsession, its NORMAL. At least that's what I keep telling myself.
According to Eastern philosophy, it's completely okay to redefine normal, since it's just an illusion to begin with.
