I was looking for a center console organizer and I saw the new one from MOSS (which I think Mini-Mania and RSpeed also sell) which is hard plastic and is actually two shelves. It looks like a really great product--potentially much more useful than the other two hot pockets.

But let me get this straight: MOSS is selling it for $50. R-Speed for $55, and Mini-Mania for $60???

You've got to be kidding me. And the glovebox organizers (ostensibly the same material and twice as much of it) are selling on MOSS for $24? This is just crazy. I highly encourage everyone to boycott this particular product until they get their prices down and/or invent one of your own like GoMINIGo has done with his glove box organizer (which is great!).

I guess MINI owners are just a captive audience that you can throw products at, and they'll just throw money right back at you, no matter what price you set on things.

Yup. I ain't paying that kind of money for this product. I'm waiting for GoMINIgo to get pissed enough to build his own for sale. I like his one better than the one I already have, but I can't justify it to the wife.

Yikes! I agree, that is absolutely unconscionable. It's one thing to claim R&D costs with an exhaust or something like that, but this is five flat pieces of particle board or plastic or whatever it is. "Built to look like a factory high class option" - give me a break. In case they haven't noticed, we're not driving Bentleys here. Our interiors are a bunch of cheap plastic.

I hope they haven't sold very many of these, and I applaud whoever takes the initiative to undersell them.

Moss is always the cheapest, but still no bargain, if everyone doesn't buy, then obviously the price comes down...looks like it should be $29.95 at most...you would think the MINI dealers were selling it at $60...lol !

I still gotta get off my **** one day and build my Coat Hanger and Mesh 'pocket'...

But look at the nets that they sell for the boot. You can do almost the same thing with two bungee cords. (Heck, add a third between the child seat tether mounts and you'll already have outdone the net...)

They have to cover R & D costs for developing such a complex, design intensive product.

Two bungee cords - HEY! That is what I do! I have two nice black and red bungees forming a nice X in my boot. Works so well that I don't think I will buy the net.

And yes, the crack-smokers charging $50 for that center console piece is nothing more than pure rape.

Now it had two nicely styled buttons on the front, some adjust mounts in the very back where I could mount my garage door and gate openers and the buttons activated those....you bet!

That's not a bad price. It's right in line with the $40 hood scoop mesh and the $40 p/s fan protector!

Yep, I have red ones to match my MINI.. heh heh.. but don't forget the two little tether attachment points behind the rear seats. Put a bungee between them also and you have a great place to hold cleaning supplies, bottles, etc...
