I have seen the Solid Gold Cooper (With black roof) a couple of times before and this color just doesn't turn me on. To me gold is a color more apt for a toaster appliance type sedan but not for the MINI. Its a bit tacky for my taste. I wouldn't have mind it too much if MINI had left SG and VR alone and sold Solid Gold right along it, but they decided to discontinue 2 very nice colors for this 1970's nostalgia color relic.

I don't think thisSolid Gold is going to last more than six months in production at the current sales. Bring Orange Metallic and Cobalt Blue to the hard top MINI, not just the cabriolet!

I guess to each his/her own.
