SO as I write this and sit & wait...........I wonder.........will the price increase even before I get to order my car since I am just on a list(waiting) .....and if the dealer in our climate of supply & demand wont just drive up the price because "WELL cuz I can"

any one have experience here?

No tricks out here in SLC. Paying MSRp for everything.

MSRP plus some kind of finish for $250 (supposed to not have to wax after this finish, blah blah blah) but that's the only add on. July delivery.

ministephen and everyone else,

Get it in writing! I would...I don't exactly like the idea of $1K sitting in someone else's account earning interest for them instead of me without a guarantee. I have an email from the dealer (with letterhead, names, addresses, date, etc.) that states this deposit "doesn't guarantee anything including availability, price (other than MSRP)..." So, unless MINI ups MSRP, I think I'm good to go. Get a receipt, too!! Cover your *****' man! It's a cruel world out there.

ive been calling local dealers for prices on the cooper S here in miami, so far there is no price gouging. $19,850 base $1250 for the packages. but, there is something like a year and a half waiting list at one dealer, the salesman said something about some paint colors not being available, i guess thats why the wait is so long?
