fault code***gas line anti freeze

Has anyone got fault codes from gas line anti freeze

I put some in my wifes car and now her check engine light is on.
Just wondering if the gla caused the fault or if it is something else

Did you screw the gas gap back on tightly?

You mean you put something like Heat, or STP Fuel Conditioner in, and now the CEL is on?

Should probably go have the code read, or go buy a reader (~$60 - worth every penny).
Your issues could be as simple as the gas cap not on right.

Where do you live? I live in the Midwest and the gas is already treated for freezing. (-15 here the other day). They still sell treatment products in the gas stations though even though it's not needed anymore.

As long as you keep good fuel in the car and the tank topped up in the winter you should not have a problem with a frozen gas line.
Moisture can collect in the tank when it is not full and there is a few heat cool cycles in the weather.
Anyway, I think it was just your gas cap. The GLA should not have caused a problem.

p0456 is: evaporative emission control systm leak detected - minor leak
