Hey boostinZX,
I was in a same kind of accident where I had to only replace my Rear Bumper and I figured that was goo time to have the Arches painted to color match aswell as getting the Aero rear bumper instead of stock bumper and actually got a good deal out of the whole mess.
ps: nice looking Z in your sig

I totally missed the second page of this thread when I read it the first time. Ha.

Anyways, I know the feeling, my 04 was rear ended with 2,800 miles on the odometer. The cop said "that's a damn shame". But I took it to a really good shop and you could never tell it was hit. Good as new. I hope you have the same experience with yours.

Boostin sorry to hear about the accident just glad that your ok I was afraid of getting rear ended as some people just don't seem to give us any room which was why I put in the Pulsar third brake lights from Gomini on both my mini's. You could take the opportunity to purchase another mini for the garage then your GF can have one.. I saw pictures of a rear end hit that was in MidCal mini's forum before during and after repair very interesting and now you would never know that it happened if you saw the car in person.

Hey guys/girls, thank you again for your comments, it really does help ... I took some pictures of the damage to share with you guys... hopefully it wont make you too sad... and if you saw the dodge neon that hit the back of me, which was totaled, it really says something for the build of these cars... anyways, here's some pictures... *Note* The bad ones are at the bottom, if you want to skip those ... I just had some more nice pictures to share with you guys before I made you sad ...

And now for the damage :(...

Front Bumper (where i was pushed into the back of the truck in front of me)

Where the Dodge Neon hit the back of my car...

Its really not that bad, and I am seriously considering trying to get the Aero Kit out of this and have the wheel arches painted the same color as the car... If anyone has any pictures of a mini my color with this done, I would really appreciate it... I have to make a decision sometime soon I guess.... Thanks so much for all of your sympathy and advice guys! She will be back on the road soon!

-Ian

yep, you took a pretty good shot. My damage was only a scuffed bumper cover and I took a decent jolt (as I was pulling over, I pictured the whole rear end smashed in). So, in comparison, I know that was a pretty hard impact. That might be a couple thousand in damages, depending on hoe much of the exhaust system got scrunched.

How are you feeling today ??

Yep, I would go for the Aero bumper and painted arches, too.

The most painful part of that last pic is seeing the damage under your temporary tags.
But if you spring for the changes, I think that's going to be a bad a-- looking car.

By the way, how bad was the damage to the front of the totalled Neon? It is amazing how well the MINI held up when it was the front part of a sandwich on a totalled vehicle.

the front of the neon was very very bad... I have a crappy picture of it on my cellphone, i will try to send it to my computer today and upload it... it was completely crunched... My car was stuck to hers, and when i pulled away, her bumper/radiator/hood/fenders/etc. were completely done... and yeah, I have only had the car for freaking 9 days before this happened... ohh well, everything happens for a reason right? Not sure why this happened, but hopefully it will workout for the best...
