My MC is going to be built in August for October delivery :???: . Once I get it, the aero grille is going on . Now I've got to convince the dealer to do it. If not, I have to find a body shop here in the Bay Area that will install.

Antsmini, yours is the only other regular MC bumper w/ the aero I've seen besides mine. Did you have yours done at a body shop? It took quite a bit of tooling to get it to fit.

Another future member, as soon as I move to FL (and order my MCS)!

For the do-it-yourself types out there, check out http://www.r53w11.com/aerogrilles.htm

I'm planning on doing it on my own, on an IB/W. I hear it's about a 5 or 6 out of 10 on the DIY scale.

This is my dream MCS. I love this photo and I want my MCS to be exactly like this one - only without the Rally Lights (I don't think I'll use them much, if at all)

I'll name her Madeline (From BBCs Jonathan Creek show)
Everytime I look at this photo I want to run down and place my order!
WHOAH THERE! My lease doesn't end until January!!!!

That's an aero kit. It's a $1200 dealer option with additional labor for painting and installation. I was told $2500 total. I lopped mine from my final config to save the $$. You can buy them aftermarket.

I wonder why no one has come out with a premodified lower grille piece that would just fit in place without any cutting or modifying. I'm sure that a lot of people would install the aero grilles if they were just an easy bolt on. I am getting my DS MCS this October, and am hoping that by then, there will be such a thing out already.

That would be way too cost effective for the owners, and my guess is that MINI would sell a lot less aero kits if someone were to do this, meaning aftermarket parts profits would drop a good bit. Might be cynical, but I'm guessing that's why it hasn't been done yet. I'd say that this option would be hugely welcomed for both the MC and the MCS.
