Slap 'em up on Flickr, and link to those instead.

You are OK, right? Not injured?

Considering you smacked into a Suburban that was likely moving at a pretty good clip, I'm really glad you're apparently healthy today.

Although your pics are still coming up as the dreaded RED X, because of the aformentioned vehicle involved and the way the accident occured, I would not be a bit surprised if your MINI was declared a total loss by your insurance company.

Your MINI is the same specs as our PW... same year, CVT... I would say if the damages are up around $15,000, it will be totaled.

Wow, i thought the damage was going to be more on the driver side front corner the way you described the accident. That appears to be very nearly a head-on collision.

Hard to tell if that's a total loss. Depends on how much structural damage to the unibody and how much damage in the engine compartment. But anytime front airbags deploy, there's a pretty good chance of a total loss as that jacks the repair cost up dramatically.

the sad thing is that i cannot afford a new mini and i dont want to keep this one because of what happened to it so i am going to get a honda civic ex-L. definitly not a mini but a nice car still the same. i will also be selling the alarm system, floor mats, sun shade, and all my other accessories for cheap. just give me a message and some time.

I'll take the alarm if it's the OEM one and assuming you'll include the alarm stalk.

Glad your OK! Did your insurance co total this! I dont think a civic would have done better against a surburban! Good that you were able to walk away.

I smacked my mini last week too.
Here's a question I haven't seen discussed anywhere.
I took the mini in for an estimate. Apparently, you can't just replace the panels, because of the uni-body design. So the 3 places I've taken it have basically said the have to torch off the rear quarter of the car, find another quarter, wield it on.
Is that true? This dent is costing $5000.
Comments welcome, as I don't know about the body construction of the mini.

Heh heh...just noticed the date on the original post. So, it's been almost a year. What did you do??

You didn't mention the Subie. How bad was the damage and were the occupants OK?

I'll bet they were pissed!

Glad you are OK. The MINI is one tuff lil bastard. I hope the Honda protects you as well as your MINI did.
