JCW Strut Brace - who sells it for $180??

I've searched and can't find it. I was told by 2 different people that there's a place (East Coast was it?) that sells the JCW Strut Brace for $180 instead of the $320 most places charge.

I figure if anyone knows who this is (or has the link), it would be the NAM group!!!

If/when I find out who it is, I'll definitely post the link.

One of the local guys that I was talking to mentioned that the JCW was the only one that didn't have fitting issues (I think he said with the hood). The other part he mentioned was that it prevents the mushrooming. Is that not true??

I'll do a search on the M7 and check that out as well. Thanks!

+1. The M7 strut bar is 100 times better than the JCW strut bar. It protects the ENTIRE strut top, and stiffens the body much better than the JCW. On the JCW, there are spacers that are supposed to be used to keep it from rubbing on the strut top - bad design flaw. Check out the website: customminishop.com I think they still have a polished black 'satin' M7 strut bar. Awesome.

Thanks all for the info! Looks like I'll be going with the M7!

I heard all those stuff about mushrooming long time ago. Does it really matter? First let me know does mushrooming happen even if you dont have a brace? Or is mushrooming a side effect of having a bad brace? Second and finally, do you really think that M7 or any after market production would be better than JCW who have been there for Minis and only Minis???
