I placed an order this weekend for a Dark Silver MCS, but after seeing "The Italian Job" last night, have been considering the colors in the movie - those cars were awesome!

I noticed a white one in the movie, but I do not see white as an option at miniusa.com - is this color available?

I'm also considering the Indi Blue.

At first I really disliked the white tops, but that has changed as well! Now I am really torn!

My last question: How long into production can I fiddle with my order? I was told I would get a production number today or tomorrow for a late July build and late August delivery.

Thanks!

Pepper white is available on 03 Coopers no S's, will be available on 04' S's.

You can tweak your order up until it hits the factory floor.

I already had MINI after seeing the movie, but it made me want R90's. So, I got them. Look great. The pepper white in the movie was a cooper with the aero package, not an S. The color will be available on the S in '04 like minimoterin said.
I changed an aspect of my order sort of late in the game (can't remember exactly the time frame). I changed from leatherette to leather. Any color you get will look great in a MINI, get what's you.

I wanted body color matching caps for my Indi Blue/White like Wahlberg had in the movie. I asked my salesman about it and he told me about the chrome caps. So now I'm looking forward to chrome caps. Kinda made me change my order.

Yes, after seeing the Italian Job, I've changed my "Dream" MCS. I will be ordering in Sept or Oct for a Jan delivery. So all I have is the Dream MCS.

After seeing the movie, I will NOT be getting leather seats. That money has now been moved to the exterior of the car! I will be getting the Aero Kit !

I used to not care one way or the other about the Aero Kit. Infact, I actually was thinking of ordering the chrome grills for my MCS. But I really liked the way the MINIs in the movie looked with their Aero Kits. Now I just love the look of the black grills.

so "Madeline" will be a MCS, Chili Red / White Roof / Stripes / Union Jack with stock 16" x-lites, DSC, Xenons, Fogs, Auto AC, MFSW, and Aero Kit.

Those cars are great but I wouldn't change one thing about my MINI. All this intense critical thinking your doing is good though....if you've really sure about the design of your car, you'll love it all the more when it gets here...and even after you've owned it awhile!!!

Cooptime, what did you pay for the R90 wheel upgreade?
I posted this question on one of the other forums here, but noone seems to know the answer - MiniUSA.com says this upgrade costs $1551, but my dealer told me it costs over $3000!! What gives???

Also, I agree that the Aero kit looks great, but it sure is expensive, and from what I hear those parts can be pieced together in the aftermarket for substantiall less $$!

Thanks!

I said something about this in another forum, maybe not the one you speak of. The R90 combo with dunlop SP sport 9000 DSST tires costed me $1080. My situation is different than most. I ordered them from a MINI owner that got rid of them b/c he wanted lighter wheels to autoX with. I found him with a site I found searching with google. I received them UPS. Obviously they were cheaper b/c they were used slightly.

If i would have got them from MINI of Pittsburgh, they would have costed $1551 for just the rims. $2650.50 for rims and tires. These don't include installation, so I was told. If you already have the S lites (unlike me with the 16 star spokes) then I see that you could pay just $1551 for just the r90 rims and put your s lite tires on the r90 rims. This would be cheaper than $2650 . Sorry couldn't be of more help.

I picked out my "Italian Job" scheme--indi/white/stripes--before I had ever even heard of the movie. Out of concern about it, I almost did it in electric blue instead and even considered a stealth MINI. I'll only regret my choice if a whole bunch of them show up on the road between now and February.

  I totally love the one we got and wouldn't change a thing - BUT - the movie sure did make me want a Classic Mini to add to the fun
