I'm sure everyone has one, but I've not got mine down to the thing I hate most. And it's not the car but when people are in it and do this...

I hate when the doors are locked and people pull on the door handle so hard that their shaking trying to get it open. Then I have to say every time, pull once to unlock, again to get out.

The part that gets me is how hard the pull - you can't force it by pulling harder.

So now I try to hit the unlock button quickly. I don't think this is a design flaw, it's safety, but I hate seeing them big back the handle so far it looks like it's going to break.

Anyone else have a pet peeve with people in their Mini

When you have a passenger and when you let them out they close the door with their hip and not by shutting it with their hand. It never bothered me when people did this with any of my other cars, but now I am pretty much a psycho about stuff like that.

I can't stand the greasy substance that is on the windows everytime you roll them up and down. What's up with that anyways?

Oh yeah...can't forget about the useless MINI VISORS! What a waste.

A passenger did this to my MINI just yesterday!

You can get your MINI programmed to unlock the doors when the ignition is turned off. I got this done. Now, the problem I have is when people try to open the door while my car is still running.

I hate it when people call me retarded. I mean, just because I'm a 24 year old male who is 3 feet 9 inches tall with one leg and only one good eye with a hairlip, that's something to make fun of. Gee Whiz--I just can't get a break!

I hate this one too! It can scratch up the door trim pretty quickly. I've trained myself to gently put my belt aside when I get out. I try to remember to tell passengers to do the same.

My MINI makes me drive too fast!!! That's all I can think of as I've managed to train all my passengers long ago. This car is awesome!!! I even like cleaning the brake dust off my wheels. Hmmm...do you think I have a problem?????

Pet Peeves with the MINI:
The Stumble tendency, especially the first clutch engagement after startup, GRRRR
Yukkie black stuff on exhaust tips (my buddy Loaded recommended to wax them, haven't tried this yet)

Pet Peeves with People operating my MINI:
ANY STUPID OR IGNORANT MOVEMENT
examples:
them yanking on the door handle AFTER I told them to pull twice
Fingerprints...anywhere!

When attempting to recline the seatback, a passenger who first exerts pressure by leaning back hard and then pulls on the lever, (as if the mechanism was like that of an airplane seat) thus causing a dreadful ratchetting sound from within the seat.

Does that make any sense to anyone?

I just hate large bouncing rocks (kicked up by other cars or trucks) hitting my MINI's front, scratches/dents from other parked car doors, and bird poop on my clean car.

The MCS Gas cap.

It looks great, but I live in NJ where all gas stations are full service and I'm tired of telling attendants "don't twist, lift". And they give me a dumb look as they continue to try to twist the cap off. AARRRRRGGGGHHHH!

And to take that one step further...when people slam the door and the seatbelt is in the way. I have seatbelt pads and they have the tendency to hang down and sometimes get in the path of the door. But alot of people don't check and bounce the door off the seatbelt.

What's with the door slammers?

I mean, what kind of cars do other folks drive that give them the habit of using every ounce of strength to pull the door closed?

Also, will those of you who like to put salad oil and other foreign substances in your hair kindly refrain from resting your head on my leather head restraint?

Also, the dashboard is not an ottoman.

What is up with that? Worst sounding dash drumset I've ever had. No percussion potential there at all....
