I originally ordered chili red/white for my Cooper. I decided to change my order to chili red/black, but it turned out that the dealer had gone and ordered my car two months early without telling me. Now, I wouldn't trade my color scheme for anything! Like most people, I think that I definitely have the best color combo.
That said, though, I think that red/black actually looks better on the MCS than red/white. I think the red/white needs the chrome grille (and no hood scoop) for that classy look. Red/black with the red grille looks great!

Don't worry about the sunroof. Yes, it takes up a huge percentage of the roof's area, but when you see the car from the side (which people usually do), you still see mostly the roof color. Check out Ant's pic above.

Good luck as you persue your dream car. Color is in the eyes of the beholder, all MINI colors are loved by someone. Its like an ugly man or ugly woman, you can bet they are still loved by someone, love is blind. As for me, I love Chili Red MINIs, red white or black roofs. Real partial to all Chili Red MINIs. And remember, this is only an opinion, & everyone has one, just like arm pits.
