R50/53 Disturbing MINI Cooper thread at BMWBOARD
Hey I am NICE on here.
Yeah I made a comment as to his misspelling...when you want to insult someone, it's always best to make sure you don't sound like a big ******* yourself when doing it.

>>All'y'all (which is plural for y'all) relax.... it's almost Friday.
I am relaxed
But anywho, it's chilly here in PHX today. Not even going to get into triple digits. I've got my long sleeves on today....brrr..
Back in the late 80s, I used to get that kind of trash talk around my CRX Si from 5.0s. Funny how much distance a little HP to weight ratio (10.5hp/lb. turbo) can place between those loud mouths and my little "p@$$y" car. The war is about to start all over again as soon as I get my MCS....let the fun begin
Wow! Some of those guys in the BMW forum are really nasty. i sure am glad to be over here. Only a couple of months till my PS/B Cooper gets here. A guy with a non-super charged Mini? I must be gay!

>>Clearly. I was surprised when I checked that guy's profile that he is married and 41 years old. I wouldn't expect that behavior from a mature adult.
>>
>>I feel sorry for his wife.
married and 41 years old, doesn't mean that he's a mature adult. Most of the evidence seems to be to the contrary.
... and if we could only talk to his wife...

OK...I've owned BMWs, and I loved them. I now drive an MCS, and I LOVE it. I'm straight, comfortable with myself, and have no problem if people have any preconceived notions of me because of the car I drive.
Your orientation is your own business, and so is the car you drive. What I like about MCO is that most of us, male, female, gay, straight, are secure enough with ourselves as people that we can relate on other levels, and share other ideas. The personalities on this site are fantastic.
Plus, we've got great cars! (Not to mention we're all intelligent and good looking!)
Sad to see some people aren't so secure. Also sad to see them give a fine automaker a bad name...
OK. I'm done. My 2 cents. (and I used spell-check...)

It's amusing to hear BMW owners toss effeminate around as BMW owners bitchier than a quartet of hairdressers. Their cars need constant servicing and they live in fear of Porsches. Pick up a copy of Rondell sometime and all they do is complain about this squeak or that rattle. Go buy a Mercedes and be done with it. Now they have to worry about some guy in an MCS dusting their 3 series in front of their third wives.

Good thing he drives a B-M-W.

If I was looking at a BMW and went to that site and read that I would be inclined to consider the type of people that buy and support BMW cars before I made a purchase. I have heard a lot of bad stories from bus drivers about BMW drivers. I guess not many have bothered to enjoy the pleasures of driving school.
I could have bought a nice BMW when I was looking for a new car. I choose MINI instead and feel like it was a good choice. The staff at the dealership and other owners seem friendly and we are small in numbers.
I don't need others telling me that my car is this or that. I know what I have. Also I would say there are many others that are very positive towards MINIs so to each his own. Live Aloha.

Pretty obvious that most of the "real men" bashing the MINI on the BMW site have issues about themselves, orientation, size, etc. It is well known that "men" who criticize and attack gays (and cars???) have fears themselves. Just can't figure out why they don't understand how transparent it is, that's what's sad!
Typical ellitist scum. What else can I say. Materialistic losers that believe that money, fancy apartments and cars somehow help compensate for their blatant shotcomings. I wonder if these beings were trated like strayed dogs at some point in thier lives......
They all left because they are disgusting swine cowards. Once they were confronted with intelligence and common sense, they had no choice but to run away back into their filthy dirty toilets.
They'll be back...but we will be there.

I'm probably going to have to duck under a desk after this...
One thing I haven't seen said yet is the truth about the MINI. It's a niche market car. It's not designed for everyone, so I don't expect everyone to love it the same way I do. I've been ridiculed by SOMEONE in every car I've ever owned, save the rather plain Mazda truck I had. People tend to hate that which they don't understand. Like Rap Music, Britney Spears and the sport of Hockey, for example. They don't get our motives for having a MINI and no matter how logical we are in explaining it, we'll never get our love for the car through to them because we explain something emotional in terms of logic. We're unable to deliver the emotional argument because they don't feel the way we do.
Tell them to "Get Bent!" and be done with it.
