Question about these black S-lite wheels

i believe these belong to a member on this site. im curious, are these gloss black, or is it that "matte" type black? i cant really tell. reason i ask, is becauase ive decided to do this on my MINI, and i want to know before i do it.

They look to be gloss to me-just have some dew on them or maybe not dtailed but the leading spokes are reflecting the light. I think your right on the color of the car and the look of the wheels in the second pic. A mat finish will hide brake dust but it also won't ever look totally clean-double edged sword I guess.

I like the flat black look. With the rough "flat" black wheel arch trim it blends right in.

well im going to paint the wheel trim gloss black to match the paint

Are you doing this yourself? If so let me know what the steps you use are. I bought a spare set just for this, to paint black. I think the matte would look better and hide any unprofessional looking paintjob. I got a quote from some one to paint for 200$, I would rather spend this on another mod or speakers

my body guy is gonna powdercoat all 4 for $200.

another shop quoted me 400...

Damn, that's a great price for powdercoat, and should be a helluva lot more durable than paint

What are they going to do to prep the wheels?
