Who sells the shortest stubby antenna?

I'm seriously considering getting rid of the OEM antenna in favor of a stubby antenna.

Are they all approx 5" or so in length? Or does a shorter one exist?

I did a search and one poster stated that his stubby antenna was shorter than his pinky! Granted, the post was from '04 or '05...and maybe he has REALLY long fingers, but I'd like to buy as short a stubby antenna as possible without compromising reception quality.

Thanks!

There's a 3" and a 1.75" stubby antenna

Palo Uber MINI has a "Uber Stick" that comes in a 3" and a 1.75" length. They also have the "Uber Bullet" that is 1.75" in length with a solid copper core for increased reception, it's on the pricey side, but I'm still thinking about getting one.

I got the one from Craven Speed. I like it. It's about 5" long...but they'll custom engrave it with your MINI's name, or the MINI logo, or the Wings, or whatever you want. Just another way to you-ify your MINI

Craven Speed has a Stubby and Super Stubby antenna. I have the standard engraved that I picked up at MOTD last year. Very nice antenna.

I have the Alta stubby on my car, which is 4" long. Check out their link in the vendor section of this site though - they also have a super stubby, which I believe is 2". I've been really happy with mine - much better than stock, but not too short, and still gets good reception.

They are garbage at best. If anodized will turn purple very fast. Might even be painted and if so is poorly painted and prone to chips.

Craven Speed has a nice stubby one that works rather well.

The shortest antenna is one that's been removed!

If someone is interested in the PU antenna, I would recommend reading this thread.

And if you have satellite radio, you don't need any antenna at all. :-)
Personally I like the stock antenna's look and I'll probably keep it that way.

I've swapped antennae's with my wife's Santa Fe, but thought it looked to stubby. Went back to keeping the stock one for now...
