Intake and exhaust wouldn't cause a trans click, so you're OK. Could be something expensive, could be a "nothing". With the clutch in (pedal pressed), nothing in the trans is spinning, with it out, the idler shaft and associated gearing is spinning. Probably a nothing, but having it checked is a good idea esp. if you're still warranteed.

I am also wondering about the same thing if I ever run into a problem (intake/exhaust for me as well). It all comes down to the individual dealer. From what I've read, some are more mod-friendly than others. If its the A/C compressor or clutch bearings or w/e it should be covered. But the dealer can twist things how they want, blaming mods on your problems. I know that probably didn't answer your question, but I tried!

Ticking noise is probably the syncros in the tranny. My 06 has been making a ticking noise from the beginning and at 25K it is still strong. My Dodge Ram also made a ticking noise, it was just a bit harder to hear.

As for your mods, it will just depend on your dealer and if they feel like messing with your car or not.

The ticking noise just started on my car (17K) and only happens in 1st gear, usually when making a turn. I was a little worried about it but I figured its probably minor. If you need a new tranny or something make sure you get to the dealer soon!

. . . and certainly have it looked at before you install that pulley you're looking to put on. I know, the pulley shouldn't affect anything you've described, but . . . it's just another thing a dealer can try to blame, so why take the chance?

Do ask around to see if your dealer is more or less mod friendly though...

I got it too... About 20k miles on my 06 MCS. I'm going to ask about it during my next scheduled service.

If you get an answer though as to what it is, please post!

If you let out the clutch slowly does it still make the noise?
