Mileage on your 2004 MINI

I'm just wondering what everyone with a 2004 MINI's mileage is? Mine is at 40,700 miles, the reason why I ask this is I'm home visiting for summer gave my mom a ride in the Cooper and she was astonished how many miles I've put in 3 1/2 years... Is this a-lot of mileage or not?

FWIW I'm at about 48K miles, so we're in the same ballpark. I figure I bought it to drive it and miles are the unavoidable side effect.

Do you have the extended warranty? if so how many more miles or is it up to 75,000 miles

Is'nt the average car driven something like 12,000 miles a year? That would put you at roughly 40k.
I've got 29k on mine, but it isn't driven in the winter.

Nope, no extended warranty. And I've got enough mods that it wouldn't do me any good anyway.

I bought mine used but its got 34k now. I didn't put much on it since it stayed in parking deck when I was at school. But I hope to add some mileage this summer going down to the shore

This is my FIRST post.

Hope I'm doing it right!

Bought my 2004 S in March of this year with 24K on it. Since then I have added about another 12K so you can tell I'm having a GREAT time with it.

Chili Red, White top with Sunroof, Bonnet Stripes, Nav, Cold Weather, Premium and Sport packages, CD Changer, Michelin Pilot Exalto rubber on White "S" wheels.

Now I just have to add the front strut bar!

:-)

Jim

I have 28k on mine. My father was the previous owner, and he has about 6 vehicles so this wasn't really a daily driver.

My 10/03 build has 18,500 but that is going to go up rapidly now that I'm using it for my everyday commuting vehicle (52 miles a day).

Average mileage depends. If your trading in or selling your car, the average is based on 12,000/year. If you are buying a vehicle from a dealer, the average is based on 15,000/year. How's that for fair!

On our '04, we have about 47K-48K. No problems there. And we have lots of mods, but it pays to be in with your SA....
I would think that it is a lot of miles for owning less than 2 years (got it used with 19K) but then again, we have gone to MOTD x2, FL, MTTS (2 legs) and all over the MD, DC, VA, PA area... I actually would have thought it would be more!

I know one MINI S owner who has an 03 with nearly 100K.

Our '03 has just hit 44K. Bought in Sept 04 with 19K

8,600 mi per year...below avg.

The '06 on the other hand... has just 2,500 miles. (Sept 06 build)

I have a 2005 with 77,000 miles. Usually Blue Book considers anything over 12,000 a year a deduction in value. So based on that your fine.
