I'm not planning on changing my exhaust system for a while but would like to get rid of the OEM "beer can" exhaust tips on my 04 MCS. I would like to go a larger diameter, does anyone have a suggestion as to where I could find such a product?

 

mini makes upgraded oem tips.

Oh, that kind of "tips." I was expecting something like "Don't put your mouth around the exhaust when the car is running."

upgraded exhaust tips from any dealer..you'd most likely want them from a vendor from these forums they'll give a percent off the original price.
OR you can paint them like mine..(as shown)

bought them for cheap from someone in the marketplace and just slapped on some bbq paint.

Pretty shameless, i know.

 

I put those tips on my MCS. The only thing I didn't like was that the holes in the end are not centered, so when you install the tips it looks cross-eyed. My remedy was to paint the insert black so it looks like one big opening. Other than this minor thing, the tips were easy to install and add to the look.

 

I have already painted the inside parts with hi-temp flat black. the only problem is until I get it on the lift tommorow, I wont be able to figure out how to get the old ones offl thanks

 

Installed them today, Great! Much better than those little beer cans...Love em...

 

I've got them too. I painted the inside with flat black model paint. Apparently the tip doesn't get hot enough to bother it. It's still on there several thousand miles later.

 

Yea, but they ain't cheap...

 

I've yet to find anything for a MINI that I thought was cheap!!! (lol)
