Hey Everyone. Figured I would get this thread started now, although the only information I currently have is the date. But I'll keep updating this as more information becomes available. What I am talking about is a MINI USA event that will occur in Charleston, WV on Thursday August 31st. There is going to be a caravan of MINI's going cross country and the closest stop is in Charleston. I'm planning now to make the trek to Charleston on the 31st, and I think it would be cool to get a group of us to go down in caravan style. More information can be found at the official MINI web site for the event. I'll keep posting here as more information is released, and work on getting a group of people to make the trip. Hope to see you there.

 

I just edited your thread title so it's more clear on the pulse you're talking about a specific day of MTTS and not the entire route.

As the group of us was caravaning back from the dragon yesterday, I brought this up, and several people sounded interested. Since I knew the date, I figured I would get it posted now, so people can start making their plans.

 

I wish i could have came down to discuss this but again finals are this week and it always falls on finals
I am just waiting on MINIUSA to release more information to me as they are trying to still iron out the details, this has been a plain since i contatced them in the Fall.
Thanks for bringing this up. This of course will be a MINIUSA event. The first real event which they want to involve the clubs.
The Pittstop club and The WV MINI club will have to join on this one as I have other clubs and officals going.

Now its up to the groups to organize for what region of the trail we are going to join.
Unless your lucky enough to go the whole route .

I feel that both the Pittstop club and WV MINI's club will need to meet in Charelston, VW and drive to Charolattesville, VA. Then you can continue if you want.
This will be our leg of the trip.

Alternate routes and points of interest will be given.
Look for the offical Press Release from MINI, Gabe, and MC2 in future for complete information.

MINIUSA hopes to join clubs(like we do at the dragon) and have a great time going from point A to B.
Personally this will be a great way to see the GP if some of them make the whole trip (word is some are)

Planning on Charleston to Charlottesville and think I'd like to go on to DC via Skyline/I-66.

 

I registered for Charleston to DC, not sure if I will do both legs yet.

I registered for the Charleston to DC routes too. Hopefully I'll be there for at least one of the legs.

 

Once we get the list on the people for NAM, then we can report back to Gabe on motoringfile. This will help who are internet savy. The others will be to go through the Club Page (which should be soon)

Hi Everyone!

John and I are registered for "MINI Takes The States". We will be going to Charleston, WV too. I think a Caravan is a great idea....count us in. We plan on continuing on to CT to the finish line. Is anyone else from PA going to do this too? Sounds like a blast!! Also wanted to mention, we got our pictures back from killboy.com from MOTD. They are great. I'll share them once I get them loaded into my computer.

Hey there all you PittStop guys and gals Chris and I are doing the MTTS Charleston to Charlottesville also so we will be keeping an eye on this sight will have to get together to make some plans to get there Gary

 

Just checked Minitakesthestates they are keeping the sign in open now till the 24 of July we need all our PittStop members Gary

 

I signed up for the WV - VA leg finally! I don't know 100% for sure that I can make it, but I'm sure gonna try! We may actually consider camping (versus a hotel) the night before in WV and then again the night after the leg to VA before coming home. We definitely need to see about coordinating arrival/departures and even some stops along the route.

Looks like I won't be able to make it due to financial difficulties (dang home-ownership and taxes all fubared). :( And I just got all of my stuff from MINI yesterday. Narf.

 

I won't know if I'm going to be able to make the trek until the last minute. For now, I'm saying I'm going, but I may need to drop out at the last minue

Who had the Hot Orange convertible with the "MINI Takes The States" logo's on the sides near ****'s at Robinson Mall today? Any plans been made yet? I plan on going to Charleston, Charlottsville, DC and Jersey City. Anybody else doing these legs?

 

Is anyone willing to part with their MTTS registration package? We didn't think we were going to be able to make it,,,, but now it looks like we will. We're a little nervous about making our final plans without the wrist bands. We'll gladly pay for the kit and cover shipping.
