Reading a post re: the MINICCA website and it's logos. I say we start submitting logos for PDX MINI Cooper Car Club and have a vote on them when we get enough submissions. We can get car stickers, shirts, hats, etc., etc., etc.

Ya'll get the idea...

Don't mind me but, what is PDX MINI? Am I missing something?

PDX = Portland International Airport

Those of us in the Portland area use it as shorthand when writing down "Portland"

Well first of all, I am a PDX MINI (which is kind of a farse since I don't have one parked in my garage which I have already cleaned out in preparation for my new toy). But yes, we Portlanders use it as a shorthand for Portland even though it is technically the FAA name for the airport.

Ok, so my friend who works for a logo/emboidery shop just sent me the club logo he made for us. Whatcha think? He said he can easily setup the online ordering so that we can custom order the logo. He'll do Cooper or Cooper S, and match your car color/roof-mirrors. WAAAAAAAY cool. Me so happy. I really like it. The monochromatic lineart background makes it much simpler to embroider than a normal photo.

That would look great on a T-shirt! However, it would also be very hard to reproduce as stickers.

I thought about that too. Logo guy and I decided that a stylized MINI outline would be cool for stickers in place of the car. That way it'd be totally black/white. Undecided whether to be in white with black background, black with white background, or black with clear background.

Guess that's what this Sunday's Cooper Cruise-In is all about.

That would still be hard to cut the detail out of vinyl. Unless you wanted to do these as a rectangular printed sticker.

Ryan - looks like the pic link is broken, or is it just me?

Dave,

Ya, I was thinking about an oval or something, not individual.

PDX_MINI,

The picture is displaying just fine. If you want to send me a personal message with your email, or just send me something to which to reply, to rwalker@harlandfs.com, I'll send you a *.jpg of the logo.
