Well, it's time for another get together. I've finalized plans for a cruise-in at the Boring OR A&W restaurant. For those who aren't in the know, the Boring A&W has 27 drive-in spots for outdoor, in-car eating.....they even have rollerskating car hops!! How cool is THAT?

When? Sunday December 8th, 2002. Show up between 4:30 and 5:00pm for dinner.
Where? A&W restaurant at 31251 SE Hwy 26 Boring OR, 97009. Just take the Boring exit off Hwy 26 and you can't miss it.
Why? Cause we wanna meet other MINI owners!
What is it? A fun get together for local MINI enthusiasts. Not to mention a great chance to prove that Boring isn't boring. Will be a great chance to meet other MINI folk and just hang out and shoot the shiz.
How much? Free to attend, just bring money for dinner.

I made some simple flyers for the event. Will keep some with me to hand out to other MINI owners I come across. Jarid at Rasmussen sales is going to hand them out at the dealership. If anyone would like a flyer, just email me (Ryan) at rwalker@harlandfs.com and I'll email you one (in Word format).

Due to the fact that I must "reserve" enough car bays to for us, and want to keep us all grouped together, an RSVP is HIGHLY recommended. Feel free to respond either via my email or this thread, thank you.

I'm a scrapbook person myself. I keep a book with any and everything I've come across in my MINI adventure thus far. And lately I've had to get a box for all the other stuff (promotional items, MINI toys, etc). Yes, I'm a kook. Ha!

His name is Jim. I didn't get his last name. Jim stopped by my store (All Occasion Flowers - corner of 3rd & Greenwood) Wednesday evening before we closed. Said he had to come in a find the owner of the Cooper parked outside.

Although it was getting dark and I couldn't see the color well, his car was a BRG MCS with white rally hood stripes. Looked good. Jim said he bought it about a week ago in Portland off the showroom floor. He's as excited as the rest of us about his car. Nice guy.

JIM!!! Hey man glad to see you are lovin your MINI! I wish I could see you at the A&W meet but I am suuuuure there will be many more meets. I had two deliveries today and both my clients were definately interested in going to Boring. I bet we have 30+ MINIs show up. :smile:

Getting back on topic, I hope to be at A&W! Not sure If my baby will be done by then but lets hope! She will be in CA. on the 1st so I guessing it will be a very close call. I'll keep you posted. I haven't been here much lately extremely busy at work... amazing!

So Jarid... My baby is off the boat in CA. What would you guess is a reasonable time estimate till she gets to OR and is ready for delivery? I'm guessing sometime next week between the 9th and 13th? Is this a safe bet?

There is no way she'd be here in time for the A&W run would she?

Well..Your last name starts with a W right? I unfortunately dont think that it will be here in time for the meet. I would guess.... the 12th? Call your sales advisor tomorrow for a closer guesstimate. Thanks Tom!!
