Those aren't crickets, they're Pacific Tree Frogs! Noisy little guys! A lot of people think they're crickets.
I see a lot of MINIs in Western Washington. The two local clubs have their own websites, though I see some familiar names on this forum.
http://www.psmini.org/
and
http://www.ssmini.org/
I'm a member of both of these.
Or, if you're in Portland,

I was just discussing this with my friend, who is also a fellow MINI owner, about how there aren't a lot of meetups or hangouts for PNW MINI owners (that I know of) outside of PSMINI's occasional parades or organized events.
We should organize something a little more fun for the younger crowd- a meetup or something at one of the many Seattle-area breweries or something fun like that. Summer and sunshine are upon us...

Lookin for other Mini owners in the area!
Hello,
I have noticed the same thing. I am getting my first Mini delivered this November. I'm located on Whidbey Island at the North end just outside Oak Harbor. It would be great to get a Coffee and Mini thing going on the weekends.

They have a lot of members around the North Puget Sound, You might even get an impromptu meet up going, by posting to their forum.
