I've got a 01' wolfsberg jeta (1.6L turbo)that is turning out to be a great car, and handles well in winter conditios too.

I really am a novice regarding the Mini. No dealers around her (Yakima, Wa), and I've not seen one. Although we do have a BMW dealer, but it sounds like Mini's are a separate line, so not every BMW room has access.

anyway, can you give me a perspective/comparison of the two cars. Area they substancially different, plusses and minusses, etc...

Looks like you had a pretty good turn out for your first meet. Is there any Portlanders out there the want to put a meet together, or am I the only one here?

I wish I would have known. I live 1 mile from Golden Gardens. 2002 BRG Cooper. I will catch you guys next time.

 

I live in Seattle and have a new MINI coming in January...is the only place to get service in Tacoma?? Or can I take it to a BMW dealer?? As mine has the CVT I anticipate some trips to the dealer (especially if it is from the time of bad transmission oil..)

yes, Tacoma is the place - unless you can get to Richmond or Portland ... don't even try to go to the snooty BMW guys - they don't want to know anything about MINIs...
