Dream Project Car

Everyone has one, that one project you always wish you could do.

For me, it would be a Datsun 510, deep blue, with an SR20DET in the engine bay. I have wanted to build one since my sophmore year of high school (in grad school now so its been about 7 years)

Something looking very similar to this, but with a darker blue

And this front end (sans hood scoop)

What are everyone elses dream builds

So yes I have been paying extremely close attention to GRM lately. I'd also love to do a Classic someday. However all of this ends up extremely low on the priority list as I too am still a student.

I re-did a couple of 356s in the 70s. I'd like to do one more. Top choice would be a '59 Convertible D (Drauz coachwork) with a Super 75. Roll up windows are so much more civil than side curtains . . .

But for a project car, DEF. without a doubt, get my '94 RX-7 back; and actually make it a full-out track car.

Mine is a Lotus Europa and it's sitting in the garage . I think old British cars are great projects because you always have something that needs to be worked on When they are running good, driven 'em like ya stole 'em.

That was the first car my dad bought when he graduated from college. He hated it. He said it leaked like crazy, somebody cut the top and stole the stereo (not the cars fault, but didn't endear it to him either), and it had electrical issues where it wouldn't start sometimes if it was damp or rainy out.

My dream project would be a classic Mini to fix up and get the V tech in it.
