Owning both the McLaren F1 and Enzo

Found this video of a guy in the UK that owns both the F1 and Enzo. 5th Gear does a comparison of the cars on the Street plus the cost involved to maintain these cars

Enzo and F1

By the way check out the other car he owns in the segment

Well we have a rather famous guy here in town that has a Mclaren SLR and TWO enzos. Well sort of , one Enzo is in pieces and the other cars have been confiscated as he is in jail .

HAHAHA, have you seen my friend Deitrich?? If that happened to me, I would have heart failure. Driving, those cars must be amazing.

I've actually seen some T shirts " Where's Deitrich " at some of the high end Euro meets .

about 6 mo ago I was at a dealer who had them side by side and that was am amazing sight..... The F1 looks more like a jet fighter in its fit and finish..... the Enzo looks like "art" ...... they were both amazing...... the F1 was a metallic orange color and the Enzo was red...... the F1 was $100K more expensive...... I think I would take the Enzo..... tough choice

No wonder I love 5th Gear. Great story, and almost feel sorry for the owner on having to pick which one to drive. I wish I was a lucky sperm too.

Yes, Deitrich is a real loser in every sense of the word. What really got me was the maintenance cost on the F1. Thats a freakn' MCS every 6 months....hey but if you have the $$$$ then what the hell.

The Mercedes SLR McLaren is all too often confused with the McLaren F1, when there's no real comparison IMO... If I had the funds to throw away, the F1 would be THE sports car to buy. Positively insane, and I'd take one over an Enzo ANY day... OR an SLR for that matter!.

And no, I'm not talking about "daily driver"... in this price range, practicality should not even be a remote concern.

They had a Mclaren f1 for sale at auction in Monterey last weekend . It went on the block after we left so I have no idea what it went for. On a side note i wonder if it brought more than the car that was up to 1.1 million and climbing as we drove off. That car was a black 68 or 69 CAMERO LOL . The exoctic car collectors must lose there minds watching american iron go for that much.

Wouldn't that just be a biatch? You are out car shopping and there is an Enzo and an F1. You check your bank account and find out that you are a $100,000 short and have to settle for the Enzo. DAMN!

I went to Lime Rock Park's "Ferrari Racing Days" last month and there was an Enzo there (along with a couple F40s and an FXX.) Simply an awesome car in person. Unfortunately it didn't go out on the track so I didn't get to hear the engine. I also saw a Pagani Zonda - an amazing looking car. I'll probably never see one of those again . . It's funny - there were so many 360s and 430s there that they didn't even stand out at all. Anywhere else, they'd be the stars of the show.
