Speeding for charity on Utah road
More money than brains... especially when he was warned about the whoop-dee-doo's...
... and what the hell is "it's just a car"??? No.. the Enzo isn't "just" a car. It's "THE" car. If I were Ferrari, I wouldn't let him own another one, regardless of price... and what the hell are "custom doors"?.. and who chops the top off an "orange" Enzo????
Does all that sound weird to anyone but me?

.From what I know of this man, he was extensively trained by Ferrari, Drove his Enzo like it was meant to be driven, and probably is the worlds most qualified driver of this car. I also understand that he had the most miles on an Enzo of any in the world and didn't just display it as a trophy like most Enzo owners do.
It was an unfortunate accident. And Kudos to Mr. Losee who drove his car like it was designed to be driven.

Hmm, I guess we are down to 398 on the Enzo's.
Just goes to prove. Being able to afford the car doesn't necessarily mean you should be driving it. What a maroon.

There's less than 398.. (see link below)
.. and I'm having a hard time believing that he's a truely "accomplished" driver. Anyone who chops the top off his Enzo because he want's to feel the wind in his hair, seriously compromising the integrity of the Enzo chassis and ridgidity, and still thinks that he's going to hit 200mph on a public road doesn't sound like he makes the most sound decisions. Especially when it's life that he's playing with.
I don't know the guy either, but there's no lack of reasons why he shouldn't have doing anything close to the speed he was doing. I'm assuming that he didn't have a co-pilot.. because his cojones must have been riding shotgun.. Or.. maybe he had to shop the top off because his head was so big it wouldn't fit in the cockpit.. just an observation.

Wait, so I noticed in the article that the SLR McLaren driver is from Utah too. So there's an SLR McLaren, Carrera GT, AND an Enzo (well not anymore...) in UTAH? Pretty good considering that overall Utah isn't exactly a sports car mecca. I've spent over half my life there and most of the time I only saw cheap Japanese and American cars. Even seeing a BMW was a rare treat, but its been getting better in the last few years...

Hmmmm....wonder if the NC/TN state troopers would do the same thing (close 129 to non-MINIs) for a MOTD event next May!?
