THat's pretty kewl....MLE and I saw them filiming when we were in down town for the L.A. night before the auto show...the orange and black wide body car gave it away to us...LOL...we didn't get to see them drifting but oh well....

 

Watchagot goin there? Looks like a really nice collection of Dinkys or Matchbox. Would amazing if they were real cars. Imagine how much time, creativity and capital would have been expended. The license plates look furrin ta me, pilgrum.

 

but we did kinda take a picture...but it was at night out of the car window. It's pretty blurry.

 

I guess Nissan is sponsoring the film or just donating a crapload of 350Zs, 5 from the looks of it. Also looks like those cars are probably the main cars, except for the Mini, since they at least have a double for each of them if not a third car.

Can anybody tell me what the the orange/black car is? Looks like a ridiculously modified NSX... Anyways, I can't believe they're making a third one. Did anybody go see the second one?

Duh. I get it. It was that Vin Diesel LA street racer movie. Okay. Guess this sequel is gonna be a big one. The orange and black cars look like old RX7s. Couldn't be though. Why use a 13 year old car when a manufacturer could plug a current model? I know I am not well informed about current Japanese sports jobs. Guess I will have to see another movie in addition to King Kong this year.

350Z and RX7 i'd give as a drift car, but EVO 8?

truest drift EVO would only be the EVO 3, none other... and unless im missing somethin here.... isnt drift guys running usually 240SX and not brand spanking new 350s?

 

You MUST test druve the EVO if you get a chance to without the Slayersperson. :p it is the best drifting car I've ever owned. in midst of a turn, keep the revs in the middle and stomp on the gas, and holy batman! the back end comes out!

You can drift an EVO, you just need enough power to break all the tires free. Plus, what do you call WRC.

You know what strikes me as hillarious is the fact that after people see the movie, there are going to be loads of 350Zs in drifting trim. Be careful if you're in the secondhand market for 350Zs when they unload them. Undoubtedly, there will be more than a few salvage ones.

If you own one, sell it after the movie unless you want to be honked at by everybody in sets of 3.

 

I can vouge for that...I have drifted a 310 WHP evo...I offered to teach to owner...he said no.....then a week later he totaled it into a light pole in the rain....he was sideways

 

The orange and black car looks like a RX-7 with a VeilSide kit to me.


Oh.. and I saw the Evo in person at SEMA. Too bad such fun cars have to be so ugly

 

im not saying evo8 cant drift, im sayin old school drifting in evos can only be done in evo 3s!

also, one of the prettiest evos ever

OK, the orange car is indeed a RX-7 with a veilside body kit. Also the Evo's were converted to rear wheel drive.
