BTW new camaro looks pretty cool I was looking at camaros before choosing an MCS. The concept has a Mustang meets Charger lets bring back the muscle car wars look to it
I don't think they'll build a dumbed down version. I think it'll either be close to this or they won't do it at all.
But it would be nice to get back to some American RWD V-8 power from GM. (I have Bowtie in my blood) Oh and might I add with some style....I love the new GTO but when I drove it not one person gave it a 2nd glance.
My father in law built Corvettes for 36 years. At first he gave us this unapproving look when we started buying foreign cars, but then one day told us he understood why we were getting those cars over the GM vehicles. The GM vehicles we had always owned were good cars, never had a problem with them, but they just didn't have what most 'car' folk were looking for. At that point, he started telling us about several of the cars that were designed by the young engineers while he was with GM. They were great looking cars that had the 'it' that people want...cars with personality, power and performance. But, being GM and full of old fuddy duddy engineers, the young guys' designs were thrown to the side as too 'out there'. Either GM is going to come out with something like this (and make it a good performer with lots of power) or they are going to become a company that only makes trucks, SUVs and Corvettes
I'm surprised they didn't do the hidden headlights behind 3 slotted cover and square hole hood trim like the old SS.
I would trade my MINI for a Ferrari....[wake up!]
Either way I think it'll be a good time to be a car nut around 2010 if we have an updated Mustang, a new Camaro, and a new Challenger to play around with.

Interesting insight. I always heard it was the accountants at GM that killed the good ideas because they couldn't ensure that they could cover the costs. So many good concepts were forced to be built on the cheap at GM and then the products never sold because of the poor execution.
personally in 2009, i'll probably get one of these but not to replace
my MCS, but to replace my G35C. this is the next generation concept.
i'd like to keep one FF and one FR in the garage... and my beater commuter
can live outside.
