I'm in love with an italian...and It's not a Fiat...

I have one of these running around my town lately, every other day I see him cruise by, and I almost have to pull over. It's a white Alfa Romeo GTA with the wide flared fenders. They are a car that is still expensive to obtain, a pain in the *** to maintain, but the sound of them, and how they move will certainly paint a smile on your face that paint thinner couldn't get rid of. I want one soooo bad.

So this begs the question, what secret closet Italian car do you guys desire? No Ferrari's, however Dino's are exempted :D

OMFG!!! I love Alfa Guilleta Sprint GTAs. The shame is that they are too expensive. I got a Tamiya R/C version though.

They are super sexy. Just too expensive. Also too be a true Pertol head you need to own an Alfa before you die.

Ah, Alfas...

Was this close to buying an 80's Spider Veloce in the 90's, a gently used one, great-looking, but suffering a clutch slave cyl failure at the time. The owner not acknowledging any issue, and claiming I just couldn't drive, I passed. Which was a shame, I'd steeled myself up to believing I could handle the maintenance myself, and planned on plenty just to keep the sensous beauty on the road. But...no go.

My affection for them hasn't grown enough to separate greenbacks from my bank account since. Still, seeing a Type 33 once in awhile, a nice GTA like you've highlighted, or the new 8C still gets my interest going.

Let's see: a 8C-looking 370Z-class car with a great warranty? Who knows? Maybe that time will come!

I have a Tamiya 1:24 kit (unbuilt) of one.

Oh yea, do Lamborghinis count?

Well, considering I have about 80 other unbuilt kits, I could sell it to you.

The car may not be Italian, but I will give bonus points since Ettore Bugatti is Italian!

Its not a FIAT in the same way a MINI isn't a BMW.

What I always lusted after was one of these, I bumped into one in Nurburg a couple of years ago:

I've never been called a mountain man before. The Delta Integrale.
