Question on 2001 BMW M3
Question on 2001 BMW M3
Out of curiosity, I'm looking for opinions on this car and it's listed issues.
Is the consensus "it's a time bomb waiting to go off, stay clear?"
Are these listed problems common and easily fixed?
Since owning a Mini Cooper S for three months, I've been taking a look at other BMW's for grins.
Standard disclaimer, not my car....

The 01-02 E46 M3's had their share of issues...mainly motor issues.
I'm not sure what you would want to use the car for ie. just for fun...for track....for daily driving...just a second car...etc., but with that high of mileage it will be a money pit for sure.
That said, they are GREAT cars....I'd just try to find an 03 or later, with lower miles. This one is probably a little bit tired for sure....
