What's the nicest car you've driven?
I will start...
Yesterday the company I work for rented a Lamborghini Gallardo for a sales contest they ran. Being a HUGE car person I was extremely jealous (since I wasn't eligible to win).
Long story short, my colleague came in my office yesterday and said that he was suppose to return the car, but had to leave on a last minute trip and was wondering if I could take it. He said it would be back at the office by 4p and I would have it until 1p the following day. Of course I said YES!
My (very cool) Wife has rented me a Ferrari Modena and a Porsche Cayman S for special occasions, so I had very high hopes/expectations.
Well I'm happy to report the car didn't disappoint. The car was unbelievable - from the acceleration to the handling to how smooth it rode on the freeway to the stares to the chest thumping shifts to the sexiest exhaust note I've ever heard.
I spent about 3 hours last night taking everyone in my family and in-laws for rides. It was great to see their faces as the car accelerated. The common reaction was just to laugh at how awesome the car was.
The only bad thing is...I think I'm now ruined myself forever. I got into my G35 today and thought to myself, this thing is slow.

Yep, driving supercars is a bit risky... to quote the old WW II song
"how'rya gonna keep 'em
down on the farm,
after they've seen Paree?"
My two favorites - one old, one new
'56 XK 150 [I owned this one for a while - what a riot!]
'?? 308 GTB [I took my mother for a ride in this one... 0-100-0 as fast as it would go. She loved it...]
But in all honesty, the setup on my Cooper will pull > 1.1 G on street rubber, which even the Ferrari couldn't do.
So the nicest car I've ever driven is my very own STX JCW Mini!

The one that was just released is know as the GTR it does not have the Skyline name attached to it. Is it a Skyline-yes. Is it refered to as one-no. Don't ask me but I am a long time Nissan fan and I had the argument with th Nissan stealership and I just gave up cause apparently Nissan does not want it known as a Skyline But it might have been an older one then yes it would be a Skyline(r34,r33,r32)

1966 427 425hp Corvette
The nicest car I had was a 1965 Buick Riveria, Traded it on a 1966 Corvette 427 big block 425hp 4 speed. The Riveria was the nicest. The Corvette was the nastiest and now my 2009 JCW is the most fun.
I have also had Mustangs, other Corvettes,Vans,Lincolns,a Ford Probe GT I liked, but I think I should have went for a Mini a long time ago. Oh Yea! I did have a Fait 500 when I was 16 years old. (2 Cyl 53mpg) My very first car was a 1947 Dodge my dad gave me.

To get to the point the 63-65 Riviera and the 63-67 Corvettes were the finest offerings from GM during its best decade. In 1969 I tried to buy an original Mini I offered 175 dollars and was turned down. I think 200 could have had it.

I've driven alot of "nice" cars... but they're not always the most enjoyable to drive just because they are expensive.
Just about anything BMW (745, 750, 760, M5, M6, 650, M3, etc... and my all-time favorite, the Z8), lots of M-B (love the CLS and SL), some Audis, Porsches (997 is sweet)... Got to drive a Lotus Elise a few times, lots of Corvettes, Maserati, Bentleys, a Viper, Jaguars, Land Rovers, Ferraris...
I spent several years working in the car business, so I got to drive just about everything.
In terms of best all-around car in terms of power, handling, comfort, etc... I think they E90 M3 is an amazing car. I love the V8 engine and its sound, and the cars has all the features that I could want. It's "reasonably" priced (at least compared to cars like Lambos, Ferraris, and Porsches) and has amazing performance.
