Neon SRT-4 Test Drive Story
When I was younger, one of the local Ford dealers let their salesman take out an SVO Mustang. They wound up clipping a curbstone and rolling it. It made me think about how salesmen act and drive. There is no way I would have just sit there as this salesman started hammering on the car. Especially one I was about to purchase. I hope the guy will be OK and the dealership gets whatever they deserve for hiring such a reckless employee. (I wonder how he drives the Vipers?).
On a different note, I had a friend that took a Vette out for a test drive and the salesman gave him a hard time when he tried to "accelerate briskly."

Most salesmen aren't allowed to drive the Vipers. I have a friend who's worked at a five-star Dodge/Jeep dealer for the last six years, and the keys to the dealership's single Viper are locked up in the sales manager's office safe. Since something like 95% of Vipers are pre-sold before the buyer arrives or even sees the car, not many people ask for test drives.
