Ford Bronco Concept
Yes, that button says N2O. Right next to what appears to be the climate control buttons. Imagine futzing with the controls when you're tired. You try to warm up the cabin slightly when whoooooooooooaaaaaaaaa!!!!!
The front suspension looks like it's an IFS, which would be too bad. If this thing sees production, I'd love to see beefy, rugged live axles.
The integration of "BRONCO" into the grille crossbar is nice, too.

Well, I don't like it, but it will be interesting to see what Ford does if they try to simultaneously release a small Bronco while also renovating the Land Rover Defender.
Unfortunately, with today's safety standards, neither will be anything but a shadow of their predecessors when it comes to being a rugged go-anywhere 4x4.
Right now, the only "out of the box" capable 4x4 available (IMO) is the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon edition, but I would not expect it to last a lifetime off-road.

It sort of reminds me of a SUV Delorean mix. I guess it is all that silver in one place.
The grille is aggresive and strong if not overdone and blocky.
The overall look is amphibious.
The bumpers front and rear are minimalist-more like push bars.
And it is blocky like an H2.
I bet it turns over really well.
I don't enjoy 14 mpg or the very very noisy tires you can hear a few block away.

I love it, i will buy 5 of the rag top editions imediatly.
oh and cheap stranglers are the happiest steaming turds in the world. i had to drive mine today for the first time in months. well, the 4x4 is working again for the next 6 minutes, but it did me no good as the front axles refused to engage properly. slip slip slip sliding away as i tried to plow.

Definetely looks interesting, definetely not for me, but still looks very interesting and could be a good seller, a smaller, more affordable version of the hummer, which I think looks much better then the Hummer. Dave - do you have any more interior shots? Something that shows a bit more of the interior - hard to see how everything in the inside flows together with the artisitic closeups.
I would like to take a moment in this thread to thank DiD for all the interesting new car posts that he puts up. It's always really interesting even when it's not my cup of tea.
Thanks, Dave!

The 1977 Bronco was the last serious off-road 4wd Ford made. This concept looks the part. Could be these guys are serious about getting back to real off roading.

I got to see the Bronco's debut here at the NAIAS yesterday. It looks great in person, and is intended to compete with the Wranger and bring back the Bronco faithfuls of yesteryear. The design, while a bit dressed up for show, should make it into production. The Bronco was enthusiastically introduced by Ford Chief Designer J Mays, is smaller than an Escape and is priced less accordingly. The rear section of the roof changes to form a convertible, and yes, it does have on-board Nitrous!
