I don't get it? The thing is a pile if you ask me. 1000ps, what is that? That thing doesn't have a 1000hp. You guys must have not seen the ABF Mini drag car videos? That car with 600+hp is more impressive than that thing. If the guys at ABF and Mynes had more time, 9 sec 1/4 would be easy

If we're to believe the 1047 ps figure, then it does indeed exceed 1000 hp (1 pferdestarke = 0.9863201 horsepower [international]).

One reason it may "only" muster that 9-second trap time is traction. With so little weight over the drive wheels (the Polo is tiny), getting decent traction when all that power comes on has got to be really difficult.

That 16v motor is ancient technology, originally introduced in the '86.5 Scirocco 16v. Impressive project.

That is the only time I've ever seen a car do a stoppie (right near the end of the clip, halfway down the track) and as far as I can see, it's just from a closed throttle not brakes.

why not both? dont get me wrong, i love having fun in the twisties, but some of the most adrenaline thats ever been pushed through my body was in a GT3 or a Lambo going in a straight line (though it would be even more fun to track them...)
