What car from your past do you regret giving up?
Here's a few that stand out in my memory. Of course my first car,73 Mazda RX3, Then my beloved 65 El camino
and maybe the 72 camaro, the 74 camaro wasn't bad ether, and that Big Old 66 Lincoln Continental with the suicide doors, huge white wall tires, and the basketball court sized back seat.......oh the memories.

Cars I shoulda kept but...
Bought a brand new ToyStarlet in '82. It only had 117k when I accidentally (long story) sold it just 2 yrs ago. All original, no rust, exc interior and rwd too.
. Got rid of it when i found out the smog inspection cut-off became 1977. Planned to put 2TG in it.
. Still got a clean BLK91CRXSi in the garage. Now I got PH05MCS and PW06MCSa that are putting big holes
in my wallet and a neglected CRX
. Previous cars I got rid of are 53 Chevy, 72 Opel Manta, RX7, 55 CrownVic postless...

Your pic does not show up! Even with not seeing your Dino...I understand why you wish you had not sold it. What made you sell such a cool little car?

Lots of cars I miss - Early 70's Nova 350, mid-70's Fiat X1/9, '66 Spitfire, late model Alfa Romeo Twinspark Spyder (in Germany) - but the one I should have held on to was a '67 Mercedes 280SE like the one in the picture below (the one in the picture isn't mine). It was classic Mercedes brown with the bullet turn signals. I sold it to a guy who just fell over himself to buy it from me because it was identical to the one used in "Friday the 13th - the Series" and he was a huge fan. It was a great car though - solid as a tank, always started up and ran (mechanical fuel injection), and looked classy driving about. I can't remember what I got to replace it...

My first Porsche.... a 1956 Speedster bought used in the early 1960s. The cloth top and removable "window" panels leaked like a sieve whenever it rained. I used to put a folded cloth between the top and the top of the windscreen to keep rain from pouring over the top of the windscreen.... and then had to stop under every underpass to wring out the cloth. Back then it was just an old car that I sold when it needed significant repairs.......now, I've seen pristine examples bring as much as $200,000 (although most aren't worth nearly THAT much.) I've owned four 911s since then, but still fondly remember the Speedster.
That's a good question!!
My photos are pre computer probably hidden in one of my storage boxes.
If I run across one later I'll post it!

I've owned around 20 cars in the last 22 years, and I regret getting rid of about half of them. Thank goodness I now have a garage that can hold up to 7 cars and we're a little better off, so I've been keeping cars lately when I buy another instead of selling or trading off a current car. My list would include:
1981 Mustang Cobra: my first Mustang, bought when I was 18, did an engine swap in it
1978 Datsun 280Z: my first sports car, had rust issues, but could have been fixed
1983 VW GTI
1989 Mustang 5.0 LX
1996 Dodge Neon SC: my first new car, kept it for 9 1/2 years and 116k miles, it was heavily modified and got me into racing
2001 Dodge Neon ACR
1989 Volvo 240 Wagon

MiniFaron,
I owned my '70 Dino in 1975, back then I was a lot younger and my income fluctuated quite a bit more than it does now. I was living in KC but on my way to Colorado and later California so it made economic sense at the time to cash out the car.
It needed some expensive stuff too, the exhaust was patched so many times but I couldn't afford the $600 for a new one and it really needed paint and tires (another couple thousand $) - I know those numbers sound small compared to modern times, but everything was a lot less expensive then.....
I drove it every day under all kinds of weather, even snow and it performed flawlessly. It was so loud there was no sense in turning the radio on unless the engine was off, but boy howdy when it hit 9k rpm it was sweet! One of the nicest riding/driving cars I've ever owned and I do miss it.
BTW, pics show up for me......

My 1995 Ford Bronco XLT.. Lifted 6 inches, detroit lockers front and rear, 35 inch tires, roof rack, lights.. the BEST truck ever. Perfect for any type of camping.. Just wish it didn't drink gas like it did..
Believe it or not the car regret giving up is my Pinto. Bought it as a rebuildable wreck in high school. Carried me thru H.S., and college. Became my autocrosser then time trial ride. Eventually my race car. Fixed every part in that car at least once. A lot of years with her and a lot of fun.
