wicked machine!! Thanks Mike for sending me this video, it's too good not to share! Another Chevy to be proud of. ( I grew up dragging BB Chevy's)

Great video
...although my current personal favorite Nürburgring video is this one - Hans-Joachim Stuck driving a BMW M3 GTR. Unfortunately it doesn't show you the speed & rpm... but the video & sound is unbelievably visceral.
Hans-Joachim Stuck is a highly respected German racecar driver, who has been on the winning team in the 24 hours Nürburgring race 3 times - 1970, 1998 and 2004. Not bad for a guy to win it 34 years apart, huh?
(sorry for going a little bit off-topic, but watching the ZR1 'Ring video just reminded me of the above one!)

The new ZR1 is an out of hand ridiculous car but I still see it as the ultimate mid-life crises mobile. It's just with the ZR1 it's become the mid-life crises machine for the well to do. That, coupled with the fact that me personally have met very few 'Vette people that aren't douchebags and don't like GM products to begin with, makes me to just say meh. But, it still lays down a good number which you can't argue with.
holy crap that is an awesome video!
driver did a helluva job keeping her on the track.
God bless the Germans for keeping the 'Ring alive!

I hope the C7 will have a proper interior, GM seems to be doing pretty well on that front now with the new CTS, it's the only thing the Vette is lacking. The ZR1 is amazing, good to see an American sports car smashing the Europeans with a Ring record, it's about time.
ZR1 time in that video: 7min 26.4 sec
Ring record for a street legal vehicle: Radical SR8 (a British car) at 6min 55 sec
The American Le Mans Series, linked to the world famous 24 Hours of Le Mans in France, is a neat series for a variety of cars. Production based GT cars compete in GT1 and GT2 classes. Exotic prototypes compete in LMP1 and LMP2 classes.
The American Le Mans Series features marques such as Acura, Aston Martin, Audi, Corvette, Dodge, Ferrari, Ford, Mazda, Panoz and Porsche.

The video of the ZR1 was pretty darned amazing and it was great. Loved the ride through the carossel. What a blast...
Not that it would matter but how rough is the road in the carousel?
