Hyundai Genesis Coupe pics

Looks mighty tasty: http://www.motivemagazine.com/galler...enesis%20Coupe

Styling-wise I ain't complaining. But if Hyundai picked a less swoopy design for something more upright ala BMW 1 Series then I will sell my Cooper S now and run to my local Hyundai dealer with a deposit.

With the optional Brembos:

It's not too shabby. The dip in the rear side window is interesting. I'm impressed how Hyundai has evolved.

Not too bad. Im also impressed at the new stuff coming out of companies like Hyundai and Saturn, but I wont be trading in the Mini anytime soon for it...

I really like where Hyundai went with this, but its a little on the heavy side....3400lbs for the 2.0 turbo and 3500lbs for the V6.

When it comes out, especially for the price, I might consider picking one up.

the door panel is crazy with lines. it looks a little crowded with such deep lines but its pretty cool and the sticker is great

If we got a better employee discount I'd get one to keep Lewis company. It shares a platform with the sedan, thus this size. Good for occasionally shoving a buddy in the back, though. Ours don't have them, but I read that they'll have a limited slip (option? standard?). I'll get a production intent car a couple months before SOP - we can't wait!
It's kinda cool around here now - we have all kinds of new products that are good quality with some really neat technology.

Not good around here. It is amazing how quickly this company has come along but I guess it being a MASSIVE company with very deep pockets helps.

Same around here. With good reason. I think someone around here likes to use a phrase "you can't polish a turd". Seems appropriate for this offering.

lines are too busy but not a bad design. too bad they cant comeup with
anything original... or they once did (old tiburon) and found out it was
probably just easier to copy.

It does seem like Hyundai is bad about being the designer knockoffers of auto makers- "like the G37?? you'll love the Genesis!"

Hey... you have to start somewhere. HMC actually has some good technology that they haven't just copied. We're working on lots of cool stuff at the Tech Center.
Resale isn't good because it takes a long time to forget your mistakes. Old Hyundais weren't nearly as good as they are now. And that awesome warrantly doesn't go to the next owner, so it loses some value - plus they're just cheap to begin with.
