First review writeup I know of. Very positive overall.

Thanks for posting the review. I have had my eye on the 135 since I first heard it was coming to the US. My biggest decision is going to be whether to trade the MINI or keep it. I'll probably keep it - I think.
in their optometry dept.
Haven't been a fan of BMW's latest styling efforts, but this one has enough going for it, otherwise, that I might be willing to overlook some Bangelization to get to the goodies.

Are the insides of the headlamps (the plastic liners) silver or just coming across that way? The car looks even more startled then the 1 series hatches I just saw in Europe.
On a side note I didn't see one 'fun' color 1 series in the UK or Paris; there were a fair amount of them on the road mostly in dark gray or black, with a few silver. One I noticed had the sport body kit, not sure if it was/they are selling the 135 in hatch form yet.
Too bad they are not bringing the hatch, they really can't be beat for usefullness.

whats wrong with the Bangelization of the bimmer? i love them
well, this piggy weighs 3450lbs for one! Good lord that's heavy for a small coupe that was made solely because the 3-series coupes have become too big and fat.
The headlights (which make or break the front of the car) look "dumpy" because they are too fat. The front bumper looks like a Honda Civic "black widow" body kit that was all the rage in the late 90s. The parabola between the side skirt and the door just doesn't jive. I do like the rear but, a dual exhaust would complete the look.
The interior and the engine are the saving grace of the car. IIRC the 135 should come with 6-pot calipers (not 4-pot, stated in the article).

yeh, 3450lbs is like the weight of my G... it's heavy. as a touring car
no issue, but if it's suppose to be a 'snappy little fun car' it's waaay
too heavy imho.
i would rather have a S2000 with hard top. let's see where the Tii takes us,
i suppose.
