Those XB's (the previous generation) sure do have quite a following. All of them look different. Granted, it appears most just have a drop and wheels. I don't see too many body kits or anything. But that group seems a lot like the MINI in that you don't see too many of the same one. They're kind of neat, but I am more impressed with the cultish following!! I dunno...just thought I'd share.

Yeah, they sure do have a cult following. But, I think it's Scion in general that has a cult following. My store manager has 3 Xb's and his wife used to have an Xa. What the hell. For that much, he could have had something 10 times better. Thats slightly used STI/EVO territory. Or, 02-04 C5 Vette territory.

My step-son has an XB - I actually really like driving it - it is a hoot.
They are not exactly fast and they are easily capable of lifting a rear wheel under duress.
I have actually driven one on a track and it was pretty useful !
They are, like so many other Toyota's, seriously underrated.

I actually like the xB to some degree. It's lines are simpler than the other models and it is-what-it-is w/ little pretense. Yes, the shape is odd but I'm good w/ that...at least it's honest, unlike the xA which is horrible.
Yeah, but with most of the people owning them being jackazzes its hard to come by. "I needs Lambo doors, 18 speakers, bright *** neon green paint, some convoluted tubing, a few stickers, ugly useless wheels, and that should do it"
Toyota knows whatthey're doing, as usual. When they first hit the auto show, I remember looking around the exhibit: two or three cars, and then an array of mod choices hanging from every which way. Base price is cheap, and all that youification is sitting in the showroom. The teenagers to which they market can cruise in, buy the xB, and start tricking it out while standing there. And of course, the seed of Toyota loyalty is planted for future cars, in the way that VW was never able to do very successfully with the VW to Audi path.
