Cars and Coffee July 14t (56k safeish)
HOLY CRAP!
I'll take the two MGA's and the D-Type.
Loved the Isetta. My Great Aunt owned one.
Max, wouldn't it be easier to post all the pics to your website, and just post the link here?

It held on the grounds of Ford's Premium Auto Group HQ in Irvine-just off the I-5. Max can tell you the exact exit but it's easy to get to and very well worht the trip!
My head is spinning with this weeks collection-amazing. What is the orange custom ? It kind of looks like a GM concept car / Corvette styling exercise but ????

The link to the collection is in my signature, so I post the link every time I post.
I have a simple excel macro that creates the in-line picture links - essentially I tell it the starting image and the number of images and it creates the tags and links for me - it went a little wrong this week - but a quick edit solved that
I figure that posting the good stuff in a single (or double) post each week is easy and a lot of people respond with positive comments - both publicly and privately.
If you want a wallpaper size image, just visit cncpics.com - all of the images are available in 640, 800, 1280 and 1600 'sizes'
I did think about posting my top 5-10 and then a link, but who am I to pick the top ones ?????
Picking favs from this collection is a very tough job indeed! I have to say that white MGA is extreemly appealing but my list is way too long. I have a feeling we will see that winged wonder Dodge at Barret Jackson soon-resoration was just finished and it's #'s matching with the original engine back under the hood. The market for these is crazy right now. I was kind of surprised to read the owner put in a hemi as the 440 is a better street engine.
[quote=89AKurt;1635149]The blue Alfa, is that a Zagato?
Yes it is - it was called the Alfa Romeo Zagato Junior-or junior zagato-can't remeber which came first. Limited production 70's- I think it had a worked over 1600 engine. Neat little Alfa.

I use the hood ornament shots and some of the engine / dash shots as wallpaper - makes a refreshing change from rolling hills or the standard stuff.....

Yeah, but any Mopar fan will tell you that the Hemi is the King of the Mountain and if you wanna draw a crowd, put a Hemi in it. Escpecially when I think they built about 25 or 30 factory 426 Hemi Daytona's.
yeah, hemi is the big name when it comes to mopars and they ruled on the high banked tracks untill NASCAR outlawed them. I kind of doubt this one sees much use and if it does hit B-J I wouldn't be surprised to see the hemi still in it with the #'s matching 440 mill on the stage beside it.
I read in Hemming's today about a 70 Hemi Challenger that didn't sell at auction. It was a numbers matching black R/T, black leather, factory Shaker, 4 spd, Dana rear, 5800 miles, steel wheels with chrome caps and absolutely sinister. Bidding was at 350-400k and didn't go. They expected the car to sell near $800,000.

That is due to the false demand that Barrett-Jackson casts over the market....trust me I go every year.....
Thanks for the pics...Those are awesome!
Yep. leave early tomorrow and you can make it. You never know what going to arrive. The time I was in Annaheim on business and stopped by to meet Max and see the show Ferrari was the featured marque-there were so many they almost blended into the background and that was just the start! 5 M-B gullwings, a CLK-AMG-DTM, a Ford GT-40 that won either Seebring or Daytona (??) Enzo's, Carrera GT's, and then some other really rare and much less known cars in the mix which was the real highlight for me. About 98% of these super expensive and rare cars are driven to the event on the I-5, etc! The week before I was there an guy drove his 70's vintage Alfa Can-Am racer (1000hp open cockpit beast!) from Newport Beach to the show- he passed Max on the way in at well over the posted speed limit.
