Anyone using a Traqmate system for data?

Anyone using a Traqmate system for data?

Im thinking of investing in this rather than in a transponder/beacon setup for HPDE's, seeing as it will give me more info than just laptimes and its only a few hundered dollars more...

Some HPDE events will not allow in car timing equipment. What I've heard is that if you have something collecting data but not displaying times inside the car, you're okay. If there's a timing display inside the car, it's a different story.

Yeah, I agree some have issue, but the clubs I run with are fine with it so it would be nice to see where I could improve and get some laptimes, etc...

Gary Anderson likes them. I'm still on the fence about timing. I prefer the raw emotion of catchup and pass. That's why I'll never be truly fast; no consistency.
