I can make that. It's the fun way, up Mt. Mamilton then down the back side to Patterson Junction, then Mines Road on in to Livermore. Keep us poasted on times and specific location to meet.

hi , all you people going on this run, if you would be interested i am makeing embrodered polo shirts for this run, most likely black with '03 nor cal mini run, of something to this effect, if interested e-mail me.

 

Looks like the gathering spot, for those of us in the South Bay, will be the Santa Clara convention center @ 9:00am.

 

Is this a caravan ride, rather than a rally, such as the October one from the SF Presidio to Nicasio? If so, where is the Livermore starting point and time.

Looks like it's a toss up between In-n-Out Burger and a parking lot at a furniture store around the corner from East Bay MINI.
It should be along the lines of the SF - Nicasio run.
Meeting in Livermore and driving Mines Rd. south. Stopping at a couple of spots and end up at the top of Mt. Hamilton, Lick Observatory.

We are going to meet at the Macy's Furniture store parking lot across from East Bay MINI in Pleasanton. See the link below for the map.

I drove out Mines Road all the way to "The Junction". It was
a GREAT drive! There was some water over the road in a couple of places, but nothing very deep. We will have to
watch out for a few bicyclists as well.

I think we should plan to meet in Pleasanton at 10AM then
drive out to Livermore & stop at "The Junction". Perhaps after some photo ops & refreshments we can drive onto Lick
observatory.

I will bring some maps to the meet that will indicate how to
get from Pleasanton to Mines Road.

You are correct, I was not at the last meet, although I was at the first meet (Lombardo / Presidio). I just assumed the last SF meet was a "run" rather than a static "meet".

 

can't wait. it's gonna be a blast. Sounds like there will be a lot more MINIs than were at the Presidio in October.

 

Thanks for the details for the 19th. Still, I'm not sure if this is a meet, rally or a run. I will not have a partner, stopwatch or radio and am expecting more of a run such as the Oct. Presidio-Nicasio event was.

What are you expecting?

The meet and run will be on Saturday, Jan. 18th @ 10:00am

 

OK people - start praying to the powers that be - we need a bright, sunny Saturday to make this thing happen.
If you cannot make it to the Macy's parking lot in Pleasanton, at 10:00, it looks like the run will start from the junction of Rout 130 and Mines Rd. in Livermore some time after 10.
South Bay MINI's are still scheduled to hook up at the Santa Clara convention center at 9:00 and then caravan to Pleasanton.
I'm noticing more and more MINI's in the San Jose/Gilroy area. I hope to meet you in person on the 18th.

 

2 more days!!! It looks like God is going to grant us with a beautiful drive. In case you were wondering, He is the power that be.

Were you one of the ~33 MINIs or 3 Minis that met at the Macy's Furniture parking lot on Rosewood in Pleasanton today (1/18/03)? I thought it was a great day of MINI oggling, swapping stories and driving that sweet road between Livermore and San Jose.

Thanks Minirossa (DrkSlvrS) and others who kept this thing alive. I had a great time. If/when there are some nice digital photos among you of the event, could you please post them and get the word out?

Was eating a burger at the In And Out in Livermore when everyone went by. Tried to catch up, but alas could not. I was the last one to pull into the grassy area at the CDF fire station at Patterson Junction. All Indi blue MCS. I've got a montage of most of the Minis on the grass but need some time to put them together. Some day this week I hope. The drive was a blast, also my first. Need to go again. The Wife and Son were sorry they couldn't make it after I showed them the images. See you all on the next run. I'll add the image here when I get the chance.
