can anyone help me with a suspension install?
can anyone help me with a suspension install?
hello all! i'm purchasing my suspension (koni yellows, m7 springs, alta 19mm rear sway, m7 stb, helix lca's), but i need help installing it.
i'm saving a shop install as my last resort cuz i'm buying all my suspension parts at once. it's going to take a hefty bite out of my wallet.
if anyone has a spare day they can install with/for me i'll pay you... in cash, alcohol, food, or any combination of the three! i'm located in hayward, in the east bay. thanks in advance!

If you have the ability, I would take it to BRracing in Los Gatos, as they are turning into a regular MINI mod shop around here. They have some sick stuff and are full dealers for most of the companies that we all like. Bruce and Robb both own MCS's too so that is nice to know. They beat any price around so I would hit them up if I were you. I would help you if I could but no can do.

The RSB shouldn't present too many challenges. Dropping the subframe isn't as difficult on the R53 as it is on the R52 with its extra hidden bolt behind the heatshield. Remember to liberally grease the new bushings that come with the new RSB.
My local shop quoted me about $400 to install coilovers and camber plates. I thought I was smart and could save some money by installing them with a friend. The fronts alone took us 4 tries to get right - after the last time, everything was good, except we were so tired we forgot to torque the wheels' studs (almost lost one).
If you're really looking to tackle this, you should probably have at your disposal an air compressor and impact wrench, along with some patience.glnr13 mentioned getting an alignment done, so hopefully you've got that appointment going.
Shooting you a PM.
